My background includes many medical related classes, such as the Certified Nursing Assistant
course I am currently enrolled in through Ivy Tech. This CNA course provides me with hands on
learning opportunities and prepares me for any situation the medical field will throw at me. I am
currently learning the basic role of a nursing assistant and all the procedures they are expected
to perform. Along with the CNA course, I have taken Medical Terminology, Human Anatomy and
Physiology, Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry, Health and Wellness, and Latin. Each of these
courses have provided me with knowledge and understanding of the medical field. I have also
been involved with many community service activities throughout my high school career. These
volunteering opportunities aided me in the discovery that I find pleasure in helping others, which
ultimately led to my career decision.
