Instructional Resources: 20 copies of English Script for parents, shadow puppets set on floor, shadow puppetry
materials (projector, screen).

Move desks aside. Put chairs at back for parents to sit. Ask a 1st grader to stand at the door and give parents the English
Script. Set puppets on the floor as below.

Roughly go through the whole plan with performing students as below.
Plan for puppet show

3. Hosts: “Students will share what they have learned from the story.” Sharing of what they
have learned from the story. Sharing students: 白昱晨、郭凯巍、屈子轩、邓纯美
4. Prayers in Chinese (郭凯巍). Prayers in English (刘佳明).

Reflection:
We received a lot of acknowledgement and praises. Parents appreciate my putting together this puppet show. It’s a lot
of encouragement. These compliments should also go to my mentor teacher, my husband and my mom. Without their
support, I couldn’t make this show happen. While I am greatly encouraged by parents and colleagues, I am also
reminded that my identity does not come from their acknowledgement but from my loving and dear God.
