Sebago to the Sea Trail

The Sebago to the Sea Trail Coalition cordially invites you to
a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to officially designate the first 8-

mile section (Sebago Lake to South Windham) of the pro-
posed 28-mile Sebago to the Sea Trail.

Bring your bike or hiking/walking shoes. Members of the


Sebago the the Sea Trail Coalition will guide a mountain
bike ride (intermediate) and a 2-mile hike on sections of the
Sebago to the Sea Trail following the ceremony.

Otter Ponds, Rt. 35, Standish

Directions: Take Rt. 114 from Gorham to Rt. 35 in Standish.


At Sebago Lake Village, go right onto Rt. 35 (Chadbourne
Rd.) and travel to Johnson Field on your right (just South of
the railroad tracks). Just past the Johnson Field parking lot is
the gravel access road to Otter Ponds. The gate will be open
so you can drive in. Follow this gravel road about a mile to
reach the visitor kiosk and event location.

The Sebago to the Sea Trail vision is to establish a contiguous trail from
Sebago Lake to Casco Bay connecting Standish, Windham Gorham, West-
brook, Portland and Falmouth. Members of the Sebago to the Sea Coalition
are working with partners within each corresponding town to acquire rights of
way. Connecting six towns, this trail will provide residents and visitors with
wonderful biking, hiking, walking, and commuting opportunities.
