its atmosphere and the people who live in it.

People who study this subject are called geographers . YES

Communities
What is a community?
A community is à place specifically situated in an area in the
world, and is classified by its development , people, and
geographic location.

3 types of communities

● Rural
● Suburban
● Urban
Rural communities
Rural communities
These are located in the countryside

Most land is for farmers and crops or forests, plains , deserts,

and prairies

These are outside of the city

People live far apart from each other

Suburban communities
Suburban communities
Smaller towns and cities

People live closer together there can be subdivisions and

neighborhoods

More buildings but these are stores and food restaurants

different from city buildings and towers

Some small businesses .. A Lot of family owned businesses

Urban communities
Urban communities
Large or major city area

There are a lot of buildings and many people all live very
close together.

Not much wildlife or nature unless there are zoos, parks,

beaches, or perhaps a preservation.

The area is mainly man-made.
