SUMMARY

I really enjoy working with children and families and find that I have a natural ability for it. I am an
extremely passionate, organized, and dedicated person. I enjoy finding ways to build up my own skills,
while helping others reach their full potential in whatever aspect that is. I work in a way that empowers
children, their families, and others around me. I have been in this environment for over 14 years starting
with my first job at age 16 working at a preschool.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the past 10 years I have worked supervising and directing programs in the recreational department of
afterschool programs, as well as in the past year I have worked to learn the field of early intervention. In
this time I have:

● Created stimulating educational and recreational environments to enrich children’s minds,

develop critical thinking abilities, and establish positive social behaviors.
● Maintained open lines of communication with parents to inform them of special events, holidays,
child’s progress and behavior, or changes in policies and procedure.
● Fostered meaningful relationships with other teachers, children, and parents to promote a fun,
safe, and caring environment in efforts to maximize a child’s development and the caregivers
experience.

I was also asked to represent Chico Area Recreation and Park District and work for in a campaign called
‘Faces of Card’ where I was featured on a billboard and in brochures/pamphlets for the afterschool
programs because of my positive impact in the company.
