    3.13 Coronary heart disease. One thousand people are approached to participate in a cohort
    study; 850 agree to participate; 50 have incidence of coronary heart disease upon their
    initial examination. Over the next 10 year, 100 of the disease-free study subjects develop
    coronary heart disease.
    (A) What is the 10-year average risk of coronary heart disease in this cohort?
    Insiden kumulatif : 100/800 = 0.125
    IC : 0.125 artinya risiko terkena CHD adalah 125 per 1000 orang

    (B) What is the rate of coronary heart disease in the cohort?


    Estimasi orang-waktu ; Risk ~= (800 x 10 tahun) – (100 x 5 tahun)
    = 7500 orang-tahun
    Rate = 100/7500 = 0.01333 per orang-tahun, or, 13.33 per 1000 orang-tahun
