What our picture is about? This picture shows how heroin is an issue in our society. It shows the grim reaper’s scythe blade as a heroin needle. This represents the fact that heroin is seeping into our community and giving death its ticket in. 3 Facts that support our picture 1. “The CDC reports that in 2016, 15,469 deaths involved heroin…” 2. “To avoid fatal overdose, it is strongly recommended that people who use heroin (and their peers and loved ones) be trained to administer naloxone…” 3. “With such high rates of accidental overdose from heroin, you gamble with your life when you use heroin.” In 2016 there were more drug overdose deaths from opioid painkillers than heroin.
