The 20th Annual Isla Art-a-thon is here
and like every year prizes are given
away! The pledge drive will take place
between September 25-October 11. Stu-
dents are encouraged to create a work of
art and raise funds to support art pro-
grams in our schools. The islandwide
top fundraising student will receive a
Tablet. Top fundraising students from
the Elementary, Middle, High school
levels will also receive prizes like a set
of art supplies. Please see Ms. Romero
in room 29 for

 Please continue to bring in your child’s school supplies, if you have not yet done so.
 We appreciate any classroom donations, such as white copy paper, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, Clorox
wipes, and/or facial tissue.
 Thank you to the families that donated snacks to our After-School Bake Sales. Your donations are greatly
appreciated.
 Red-Ribbon Dance will be on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Entrance Fee is $2. Get $1 off if your child wears a costume
of what they’d like to be in the future.

 October 31: Kindergarten Halloween Parade. Your child can dress up in costume as what they’d like to
be in the future. Please bring a treat bucket/pail/bag for their Halloween treats. Treat bags for the parade
will be provided to the students in Room 2, Ms. Tajalle’s class.
 ASPIRE PROGRAM
The ASPIRE Program will begin on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

Tutorial component is tentatively scheduled to start October 2, 2017. Our ASPIRE Coordinators will be work-
ing with the homeroom teachers and counselor to identify students for the tutorial component as part of our
CST intervention.

Enrollment is open and registration forms can be picked up in the Main Office

Ukelele Club and
Chorus Club

tary School students! We are happy to an-
nounce that our new Chamorro Language
and Culture teacher, Siñot Francisco Deleon
Guerrero, has graciously offered his exper-
tise to offer a Ukelele Club and Chorus Club
opened here at the school. Any interested
students, who own a ukelele, or are inter-
ested in singing, are most welcome to sign
up. The club will be meeting every Tues-
days and Thursdays at 7:15 a.m. to 8:15
a.m. The start date has not been finalized,
yet. Parent/guardian notices will be sent to
the students who are interested. Students
with parent’s/guardian’s signed permission
will be the only ones accepted. Parents/
guardians will be responsible to bring their
child or children to school every Tuesday
and Thursday mornings. Please have your
child or children eat breakfast at home,
since there may not be enough time to eat
