now serving meals
The Lexington Rescue Mission
Outreach Center started serving free,
hot lunches to those in need on May 1.
Meals are held Tuesday, Thursday
and Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Out-
reach Center, which is located at 444
Glen Arvin Ave. Public chapel services
are held before the weekday meals.
Volunteers finished remodeling the
kitchen in April, making it possible to
begin serving meals at the new location.
Previously, the mission served public
meals at the Limestone Street building.
Last year, 20,900 meals were served.
