In the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. You are formally invited to the monthly statutory
meeting of the PCC scheduled to hold on Saturday 3rd February, 2018 at 3:00pm inside the Parish Conference

MINUTES OF PCC MEETING HELD ON 6TH JANUARY, 2018
COMENCEMENT: The meeting started at 4:15pm with an opening prayer said by Chief (Mrs.) G.I. Olayinka.

OBSERVATION
The Peoples’ Warden Mr. Biodun Kalejaiye informed the council of the engagement of the Priests at a very
crucial Diocesan official programme of which he (the Vicar) has informed the secretary and the treasurer that
someone should be nominated to act as protem Chairman to oversee the council meeting. Hence, Pa. L.O.
Olayinka was nominated to act as the Chairman till the arrival of the Vicar.
READING AND ADOPTION OF THE MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
After reading the minutes by the secretary, Mrs. Kike Ogunyemi and Evang. (Mrs.) M.A. Onabanjo moved
and seconded the motion for the adoption of the minutes respectively.
VICAR NOTICES
The Vicar, Ven. Dr. L.M. Otegbola took over the proceedings of the meeting after his arrival at exactly
4:00pm. He appreciated the council members and congregation for their numerous gifts for the priest families
during the festive period. He therefore notified the PCC of the following information.
i. Approval to conduct WAEC by the INAMCA has been granted by government.
ii. Bishop’s appreciation goes to all Churches in the Diocese for their gifts during the festive period.
iii. There is need for us to be security conscious during every Church services. He gave the security threat
that happened in Ilorin as an example.
iv. There will be registration of all Bishops and Clergies in the Anglican Communion.
v. Formal introduction of Revd. A.A. Adeoye who has just been transferred to the Church and attending
his first PCC meeting with us.
vi. Barr. Dayo Onakoya has been promoted from the status of Deputy Chancellor to the Substantive
Chancellor of the Diocese as the 3rd Chancellor of Ijebu North Diocese.
vii. Conference of all Clergies in Province of Lagos holds between 30th January to 2nd February.
viii. Tiling of the Chancel commence on Monday 8/1/2018. The Project was donated by one of the child of
God in the Church.
ix. The Vicar reminded the council of the hosting of 2019 SYNOD. He urged the committee to start the
preparation as soon as possible for us to record a successful and befitting synod
REACTION ON VICAR’S NOTICE
Mr. Femi Ogunnowo put more light on the attack in Ilorin and advised that CAN should be objective in their
report. He said the attack were on both Christian and Muslims as a result of a lady who ran into a Church for
the safety from being raped by some youths at a carnival which the leaders both Muslims and Christians did
not support due to their previous experience.
The Vicar replied that the report he (Mr. Femi Ogunnowo) gave were media manipulated news. He said the
CAN get its information correctly, even Church in the Northern part of the country were not given certificate
of ownership for their Churches.
Mr. J.A. Adekanmbi suggested the need to erect CCTV Cameras in the Church to aid security and safety
within the Church premises.
PRESENTATION OF STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT
Mr. Biodun Kalejaiye presented the statement of accounts for the month of December 2017 as follows:
Total Income N2,202,288.28
Expenditure N1,453,645.44
Balance N 748,642.58
OBSERVATION AND REACTION ON THE STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT
Mr. Femi Ogunnowo appreciated the Wardens and suggested the need for payment between N1.5m & N2m
of part payment of 2018 assessment.
Mr. J.A. Adekanmbi reminded the council that the house in Ibadan is dilapidated and need urgent attention.
He also advised that the parents of the students that the Church assisted in paying for their WAEC fees should
be enlightened that the Church is not ready for the educational responsibilities of their Children if they later
pass and get admitted into higher institution.
Chief Kayode Ogunyemi suggested that payment of WAEC fees should be for the indigent and brilliant
student. Pa. L.O. Olayinka suggested that matter like this should be discussed at PCC meeting before the
payment.
The PCC agreed that payment of WAEC fees is just to assist the parents and not that the Church will take over
the parental responsibilities on their Children.
Mr. J.A. Adekanmbi and Mrs. A.F. Kalejaiye later moved and seconded the motion for the adoption of the
minutes respectively.
CHURCH PROPERTIES COMMITTEE REPORT
Mr. J.A. Adekanmbi reported that the Lukanran farm have been weeded and cutting of the trees at the farm is
ongoing; while the cutting of the palm trees will cost the sum of N20,000. He finally implored the teak planting
committee to do the cost estimate on the teak seedlings for the farm.
TEAK PROJECT
Mr. Osikanmi reported that the teak farm at the new cemetery has been extended to the remaining piece of
land at the cemetery. He notified the council that the consultant will be consulted to do the estimate on the
number of seedlings needed for both Lukanran farm and remaining piece of land at the new cemetery.
CHURCH MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE REPORT
Mr. Biodun Kalejaiye reported that hall fans, rehabilitation of Curate house, flooring the back of the Church
hall are the important projects at hand to execute.
PROGRESS REPORT ON CHIEFTAINCY
Mr. Adekanmbi reported that the nomination letters for the selected people is ready for delivery and nobody
is yet to be fixed for post of Otun Baba Ijo.
The following dates were agreed at the committee level for the inauguration 14th March, 24th March, 28th
April, 2018.
The PCC unanimously agreed on 28th April, 2018 for Bishop’s final ratification.
CORRESPONDENCE
Letter of appreciation from Revd. E.O. Ogunleye of St. Lukes Anglican Church, Japara for the Church gift
during his send forth.
Chief Kayode Ogunyemi reported that it has been proposed at the management level that the piece of land at
Ipase should be sold out to purchase piece of land that is more viable and useful for investment especially for
the cultivation of cash crops.

 Mr. Femi Ogunnowo informed the council that the death and burial of Late Baba Solana has been
confirmed, his Children contact number are available on request.
 Chief R.A. Oluyemi informed the council that the Children of late Chancellor Otunba Ogunyemi reported
to him that their father’s house given to the Diocese Nur/Pry School is not well maintained, therefore the
PCC and the Vicar need to contact the Bishop in respect to the situation of the building.
ADJOURNMENT
Pa. L.O. Olayinka and Mr. S.O. Osikanmi moved and seconded the motion for the adjournment of the meeting
respectively.
