familiarize yourself with your new PRINTSTIK

 1 Install PC Software

NOTE: Initially Charge the

PRINTSTIK for 3 hours. Plug your
PRINTSTIK into the wall outlet (AC) using the
wall charger included in your box. You can
also charge the PRINTSTIK by connecting it
to your home PC (or Laptop) via the USB
cable provided in your box, charge for 4
hours 

Our Software works with Windows XP, Vista

& BlackBerry.

 A. PRINTSTIK Driver:

Insert the PRINTSTIK installation CD. Select

the “PRINTSTIKInstall.exe” file. The window
below should open. Click “Next to proceed.
Follow installation instructions and choose
finish when process is complete.

 B. USB Driver:

Select the SetupApp.exe file from the

PRINTSTIK Installation CD. Click “next” to
begin installation.

Click “Next”

 Follow setup wizard through instructions.
Once you arrive to this window, select the
“Install” option and click “next” to proceed.
Once completed click “finish”.

 C. Bluetooth Pairing:

Before attempting to pair your device, make

sure your PC or Laptop is pre-installed with
Bluetooth environment.

Search and locate the printer in “My

Bluetooth Places”, you will find your printer
with the address:

“PRINTSTIK 00XXXX” (2 zero’s followed by 4

alphanumeric characters)

Now proceed with pairing the PRINTSTIK.

Select the serial port icon, double click it and
now you will be required to enter a security
code; you can use the 4-digit code “0000”.
For detailed instructions please refer to the
User Manual.

D. Printing:

Choose PRINTSTIK printer from your list of

printers, select your file and print!

 2 Install Blackberry Software

1. Verify your Blackberry Operating

System is 4.5 or higher*. Download
the driver files from the Planon
website link shown below. Extract the
download (the driver files) to a
location on your computer.

2. Download BlackBerry Desktop

Manager (version 4.7 or higher) and
install on your computer. Copy the
following link to download this
program:

http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/

3. Use the BlackBerry USB data cable to

connect your Smartphone Device and
computer.

*NOTE: If you do not have Blackberry

OS 4.5 or higher, check your
Blackberry Desktop Manager for
available updates. If not, then contact
your carrier.

4. Open the Blackberry Desktop

Manager on your PC.

 5. The following screen will appear, if
this is your first time loading the
PRINSTIK drivers onto your
Blackberry, click on icon Application
Loader”

Choose “Application Loader”

 6. Follow the “Application Loader”
instructions until you reach the
screen below. Click “Add” to
continue.

 7. Now the window below should
appear. Choose the files
settingManager, PRINTSTIKDriver,
FileExplorer and
MessageEventListener. Chose
“open” to copy the files you select.

 8. Once you have copied the files click
"next". Click on "finish" to start the
loading process, after which click
“close”.

9. Find the “Printstik setting Manager”

icon on the Blackberry and run it.
And then exit the application.

10. Click on the “Printer Driver setting

Manager”, select it. Now you will see
“hostname”. Select it and click on
“save”. Now exit out of the
application.

11. Click on “Options”, then “Advanced

Options”, then “Applications”. Go
down to “File Explorer” and select it.
Press menu and select “Edit
Permissions”. Change the settings
so that Connections, Interactions and
User Data are set to “Allow”. Press
the back/return button twice. Now go
back to “Printstik Driver” and do the
same.

 12. In Printer Driver Setting Manager go
to Printing Service Registration.
Read the disclaimer and select
“Agree”. By registering your email,
you will be informed 5 days prior to
the expiration of your free 6 months
trial for printing services. To
continue using the PLANON
PRINTSTIK printing services you
must pay the annual fee. You can
make payments by going in the
Printing Service Registration menu,
read the Disclaimer, select “Agree”
and here you will be able to enter
your credit card information.

13. From your applications, choose

Bluetooth application to add your
Bluetooth printer while the
PRINTSTIK is turned on. The
Bluetooth code to be used when
pairing is “0000”.

 14. To Print images, you must click on
the “Blackberry File Explorer” icon

Go to “store/” click on it, choose

“store/home/”, then choose
“store/home/user/”. Here you will
find all images that have been saved
onto your Blackberry device. From
this point, choose the image you
want, press the “track ball” key on
your Blackberry device, and select
print.

 Any Problems?

Make sure it has been charged for at least 3

hours. Carefully follow the installation
instructions. Also make sure your system
meets the System Requirement listed in the
User’s Guide.

Close your running programs, including any

screen savers and virus protection software,
and install the software from the installation
disk.

In Windows be sure to select your

PRINTSTIK printer as the default printer
before you print.
