1. What category will this vehicle be classified under in our state?

CMVR classifies it as a Quadricycle. We suppose Qute will be classified as a

quadricycleQuadricycle even in the State Motor Vehicle Rules., to be run as a commercial
vehicle ONLY, for intracity public transport.

2. Will there be permits?

Currently, in some towns and cities, there are limits on the number of permits that can be
issued for Autorickshaws. We are trying to convince the State Government not to impose
any such limits on the permits for this category and let market forces determine the

We foresee a very good business opportunity for the Qute. We envisage, for it, a position Formatted: Font color: Auto
between the Autorickshaw and Taxi with a fare structure also somewhere in between and
leaning more towards the Autorickshaw fare. Users who prefer a vehicle that provides an
enclosed space and protection from the weather, but cannot afford a taxi would opt for
these vehicles.
It goes without saying that the current aggregators like Ola, Uber etc will find it useful to
aggregate these vehicles as well.Qute can be an ideal replacement for existing auto rickshaw
drivers. It is also an option for drivers who are looking to get into the auto-driving business
as a profession. In addition, fleet auto/taxi owners can use Qute as a public transport for
intra city commute. Online taxi service providers like Ola/Uber etc can also look at Qute as a
cheaper, safer option as a category on their apps, and make Qute available on hire.

Qute can run on petrol and alternative fuel (CNG/LPG). It does not run on diesel. We do not
have an electric version available.

8. What is the mileage of the vehicle?

For petrol, Qute returns a figure of 36 kmpl*

For alternative fuel, the mileage is 40 kmpl*
