This is your time to be thankful and
give
Thanksgiving is an opportunity to
teach children the importance of
sharing and spendind quality time
with family.
A Family Traditions
-Pin the Feather on the Turkey
This game will keep the kids
entertained while dinner is cooking.
Make the turkey's body by cutting a
circle out of sturdy, brown
construction paper, and then a
smaller circle for his head. Get
creative by gluing on googly eyes, a
beak and a top hat. Let the kids
come up with a name for Mr. Turkey
before taping him to the wall in the
dining room or living room. Make
papers feathers in fall colors and
have each child write their name on
a feather. Attach tape to each
feather and have the child close
their eyes tightly and try to tape
their feather onto Mr. Turkey
Activity
Carving a Pumpkin
1. Let child choose a large pumpkin.
Parent use a sharp serrated knife to
cut off the crown
2. Child use a large serving spoon,
scoop out the seeds and fibres and
discard. Then remove some of the
flesh
3.Let child use a marker pen, draw
a simple outline of a face on the
pumpkin. Parent use a small
serrated knife to cut out the eyes,
nose and mouth, cut away from you
in case the knife slips.
4.Child place a tea light inside the
pumpkin, Parent light it and replace
the crown
