Task Analysis
Task Analysis

1. Description of Project: You should have an idea of what your project will look like. In a
paragraph describe the project and its purpose; be as specific and concrete as you can.
In my project, I will be working alone with an electrician and a plumber which goes right along
with my paper, which is on proving why we need more trade training in high school. I have
wanted to go into the trades, and I think doing this will help me decide which one I will start next
year. I will learn some of the basics of each trade from the experienced tradesmen I will be
helping. I don’t know exactly who I will be helping inside of Block and R&K. I plan to do two
days on each job, so for regular 8-hour days, it’ll be 32 hours total.
I want to decide what I like more and want to for the rest of my life
Nothing
5. Task Analysis and Project Timeline: List all the individual tasks you must complete in
order to finish your project. Think through all the steps involved and the time needed for each
task. What materials do you need to find? What literature do you need to read? Are there any
people you need to talk to for advice? (You obviously may have fewer or more than eight steps.)
Remember that this plan may—and probably will—change as you work on your project. That’s
expected. That’s all part of the process of learning to do something new.
7. Cost Analysis: Make a list of any costs you will be responsible for in the completion of your
project. (Materials, supplies, transportation, rentals, etc.)
