Abstract

It is a short summary of the entire paper in no more than 120 words. It must be: Blocked

paragraph, first line NOT indented. Exact, only including information in the paper. Do not

supplement or remark on the paper. Independent, all abbreviations and acronyms must be

explained. Paraphrased, not quoted. For most papers, also avoid citations to sources. Brief and

precise---Strive for maximum information in each sentence, including most important ideas and

results. Clear and comprehensible—Use active voice, action verbs, and present tense.

Level 1 Heading

A Level 1 heading is centered, boldfaced, upper and lowercase. The next sentence begins

on the following line, indented like a regular paragraph.

Level 2 Heading

A Level 2 heading is flush left, boldfaced, upper and lowercase. The next sentence

begins on the following line, indented like a regular paragraph.

Level 3 heading. A Level 3 heading is indented, boldface, lowercase paragraph heading

ending with a period. Your paragraph begins as shown, in line with the heading.

References

The format of the reference citation should have the first line left aligned and the second and

subsequent lines indented. By creating a hanging indent, we have already done this

automatically; just begin typing your references.

Once you are finished with one reference, press the “Enter” key on your keyboard. The cursor

will automatically shift back to the left margin, and you may continue typing your second

reference. Be sure the references are in alphabetical order.
