National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony Held at
Henry Wilson Memorial School
On Wednesday, May 2, the Henry
Wilson Memorial School Chapter of
the National Junior Honor Society,
under the direction of Ms. Laurel
Vachon, held its Induction Ceremony.
Parents, friends, and community
supporters came to the Gym at 7:00
PM to support the 5 inductees, for this
year. Caylee Allen, Kyra Ferreira,
Maxwell Filion, Lauren Hunting, and
Damien Schwab, pictured right, all
were inducted into the Society.

described one of the 5 qualities of their
membership, Scholarship, Leadership,
Service, Character, and Citizenship,
and then lit a candle on the table.
Ms Vachon opened the ceremony with
a few remarks, and then was followed
by brief remarks and congratulations
from Superintendent Ruth Ellen
Vaughn. Ms. Vachon introduced the
inductees who were then welcomed by
Principal Jessica Richardson, who also

becoming a Dermatologist. So, she chose to attend the
Health Science and Technology program. At first, she
thought it might not be a good fit for her because she might
not fit into the class. But soon she integrated and made
many true friends in the program. Her class covered
Isabella Smith-Davenport everything from infection control, anatomy, to applying
PPE, or Personal Protective Equipment. During the Health
Science & Technology class, she learned of the State
Conference & Competition and chose to compete in the
field of "Home Health Aid". She placed first and
performed a speech in front of the 300 attendees. Isabella
was nominated and elected President of NH/VT HOSA.
HOSA-Future Health Professionals, formerly known as
Health Occupations Students of America, is a national
career and technical student organization endorsed by the
U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science
Technology Education Division of Association for Career
and Technical Education. Isabella’s position as President
allows her to organize conferences for the other Health
Science chapters of NH/VT and work with their Chapter
advisors. She will receive more training on her position
when she attends the International Leadership Conference
in Dallas, Texas this coming June. Overall, Isabella says
that “this program has helped me become a bigger person
and I encourage all students interested in Health Science to
attend this class.”
The Lakes Region Technology Center is located in
Wolfeboro and serves the School Districts of ​Governor
Wentworth, Alton, Barnstead, Farmington, Middleton, and
Moultonborough. Farmington students are involved in a
wide variety of its technology rich academic programs.

At their May 16th meeting, the Club welcomed new
member, Robyn Doke to the organization. Robyn is not
only a new member, but the third generation to join the

Colorful Spiral Pasta Salad
Ingredients
1 package (12 oz) tricolor spiral pasta
4 cups fresh broccoli florets
1 pint grape tomatoes
1 can ( 6 oz) pitted ripe olives, drained
⅛ tsp salt and ⅛ oz pepper
1 ½ cups italian salad dressing with roasted red peppers
