Dear Mr. Belcher:

It is with great enthusiasm that I submit this letter of interest for the mathematics
teacher position available at Lake Fenton High School. For the past ten years, I have been a
mathematics teacher at Kearsley High School. Along with teaching, I participate in several
extra-curricular activities including coaching basketball and golf as well as being a class
sponsor. Developing positive relationships and rapport in and out of the classroom has
always been a top priority for me as a teacher.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students
and staff members. I have classroom experience in teaching both algebra and geometry
and facilitating online courses to assist in credit recovery. Outside of the classroom, I have
numerous experiences in sports, leadership of staff and students, curriculum development,
and school improvement. Before I began teaching, I earned a Bachelor of Science in
Education from Central Michigan University in the fall or 2007, and most recently, I earned my
Master of Education – Principalship from Saginaw Valley State University in 2014. My major is
in Mathematics and I have a minor in Biology.

If hired, you will be getting an intelligent and enthusiastic teacher with a plethora of
