The proposed ‘City of Lights’ development (Plots RT-3-C2 and RT-3-C3) by stories high ‘fan-shaped’ parking structure measuring approximately 62m x 102m.
Tamouh Investments at Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, is a mixed-use development. Proposed parking structure consist of six (6) levels of podium car parking and

The Concept Design Report was issued earlier this year. However, there have
been some revisions to the design brief of which this report will aim to
incorporate for structurally related items. Reference would be made to the
previous report to compare/highlight these changes.

The proposed development is largely made up of two residential towers namely

C2 (39 stories high) and C3 (35 stories high), both having similar floor plate size

2.1 Structural Design Basis
b) Deflection criteria for the Tower Under Wind Loading
2.1.1 Design Codes of Practice Lateral deflection < H/500, where H is the overall height of the building
Elastic storey drift < h/400, where h is the storey height of the building
The following design codes shall be adopted for the structural design of this
project. The code selection is in general conformance with the Abu Dhabi c) Comfort criteria for the tower under Wind Loading
Municipality (ADM) Building Permits Directorate (refer to Table 2.1-1). Comply with the Detailed Method of the 2005 National Building Code of
Canada (NBCC). The internationally accepted comfort criteria is to restrict

2.1.2 Design Criteria’s 2.1.3.2 Seismic Load

The following criteria will be adopted in the structural design of the building: In addition to lateral wind loading, the overall structure will also be subjected to
loading from earthquake. The earthquake load shall be assessed in
