Position: Internship – Centre for Policy Research


Duration: 3 months
Key Responsibilities
- Data analysis of household energy and appliance use, and consumption behaviour for two large datasets
(from New Delhi region and for Rajkot)
- Literature review of domestic/international studies on energy and appliance use trends, and behaviour, in
the residential sector
- Write a working paper that synthesizes the analysed data and relates it to the academic and grey literature

Qualifications and Skills Required


- Proficient in the programming language R
- Strong quantitative and statistical skills with a completed/ongoing Master’s degree (engineering,
econometrics, public policy, energy studies, other related fields) or an exceptional Undergraduate degree
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to undertake thorough literature reviews
- Good writing skills

Reporting and working hours


- The candidate will work with and report to Dr. Radhika Khosla, and also work with Dr. Neelanjan Sircar
- The candidate is expected to report to the CPR office from 10.00 AM to 5.30 PM, Monday to Friday

Additional Requirements
- The candidate must bring their own laptop

Remuneration: INR 20,000/month
