Ms. Batty
English 101
5/26/18
Out of all the essay’s that I wrote this semester, “Not So La La Land” was the best essay
that I wrote in my opinion. It was the only essay I wrote in which Ms. Batty did not have a lot to
correct me on. This essay was easier for me to write because I felt that the prompt was very easy
to relate too because I have grown up in Los Angeles, and have seen countless amounts of homeless
people my entire time living here. Also, I have tried to get into the entertainment industry myself,
and that made me realize that it as not as easy of a business as Hollywood makes it seem. Although
my essay was organized, and I stayed on topic there were things that were not right. The essay was
not in proper MLA format. I did not use the times new roman font, and the font size was an 11 not
a 12. Also, I did not put my works cited page in the same document. I noticed that I did that with
every single essay that I wrote. A works cited page would be included but, I never included it in
the same document as the essay. I would always upload my works cited page as a separate
document. In all, I truly enjoyed writing this essay and it taught me not only how to be an organized
essay writer, but it also taught me how to not stray away from my thesis and distract the readers.
