Festival and the Heritage Labor Day Fes-

If it’s Fourth of July weekend activi-
ties you’re looking for, the Happy Birth-
day America Celebration will be held in
downtown Vincennes again this year.
Featuring a parade boasting several floats,
music, food and fireworks by the George
Rogers Clark Memorial that evening,
there will be plenty to do.
Many in the county make the
journey to Bicknell to attend the Knox
County Fair in July. 4-Hers throughout
the county will have projects and live-
stock on display and in the evenings, take
the family to watch mud hog wrestling,
tractor pulls and grab dinner from one of
dozens of vendors.
The festival honoring Vincennes’
favorite son, Red Skelton, will be July 21
at the Red Skelton Museum of Ameri-
can Comedy. Additional events will take
place on Patrick Henry Drive. Sched-
uled to appear are John Pate, Stephanie
Holman and the Circle City Sidewalk
Stompers Clown Band. Pate performed
with Red Skelton from 1991 through
1997 in Nevada. Holman is a storyteller
who will be presenting “Red Skelton:
Good Night and May God Bless.” The
