“LA ROSALEDA SECONDARY SCHOOL”

La Rosaleda was created in 1947. It began as the only Vocational

Training School in Málaga where anyone who wanted to learn a trade had
to come.

Nowadays, La Rosaleda offers a comprehensive range of professional

qualifications for 16 year old students who have already finished
Secondary School:

 2 Specific programmes for students with Special Education Needs.

 Elementary VET Programmes.
 15 Intermediate Vocational Education and Training Programmes.
 8 -Higher Vocational Education and Training Programmes.
 4 Upper Secondary Programmes:
o Scientific
Arts
o Social ( Bilingual and not Bilingual)
o Music
 600 hour Specific Course to access VET.
 Special Offer for Adults:
o Secondary Education
 2 Upper Secondary Programmes

Every year, La Rosaleda welcomes more than 2,000 students within

two shifts; students can attend their classes in the morning shift, from 8:00
A.M till 14:30 and in the evening from 16:00P. M. till 22:30.

More than 180 expert teachers work with teenagers students so they
can get the knowledge and necessary skills to face the current labour
market.

The educational programmes are the following:

 UPPER SECONDARY

o Students need to have finished the first stage of Secondary

School. It takes two years. Then students can go to
University.

 INTERMEDIATE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND

TRAINING PROGRAMMES.
o For students who have finished Secondary School and don’t
want to do Upper Secondary Programmes. It takes two years.
Then students may have access to programmes to get the
following qualifications:

o Technician in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Installations

o Technician in Heat Generation Installations
o Technician in Interior Works, Decoration and Rehabilitation
o Technician in Maintenance of Railway Rolling Stock
o Technician in Welding and Boilermaking
o Technician in Electrical and Automatic Installations
o Technician in Cookery and Gastronomy
o Technician in Catering Services (BILINGUAL: ENGLISH)
o Technician in Graphic Printing
o Technician in Digital Prepress
o Technician in Fitting and Furnishing
o Technician in Motor Vehicles Electro mechanics
o Technician in Commercial Activities
o Technician in Machining

 HIGHER VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING

PROGRAMMES.

o For students who have finished Upper Secondary

Programmes. It takes two years. Then the students can go to
University.

SPECIAL EDUCATION NEEDS
o Carpentry and Furniture
o Gardening and floral compositions.

PARTICIPATING IN ERASMUS:

o With Upper Secondary Programme students.

o With Intermediate vocational Training Programmes: masonry.
o Students with hearing difficulties.
