Executive Summary

The Sea Colony Resort complex is located in Bethany Beach Delaware. This campaign
will highlight the properties that the resort has to offer to tourists and also those looking
to have year round housing close to the shore. The Sea Colony Resort offers ocean
front condominiums as well as private housing in a tennis community less than a mile
from the beach. The overall goal of this campaign is to inform tourists of the that the
Sea Colony has to offer including their rental properties, beaches, pools and
recreational activities. The specific goals of this project are to adequately promote the
Sea Colony Resort through forms of multimedia. With the advancement of technology,
an old fashioned sea town such as Bethany Beach needs a form of promotion and
advertisement to keep up with the modernization of the tourists in which vacation there.
This project will inspire tourists to vacation at Bethany Beach, and not only stay at the
Sea Colony properties but also participate in the activities that Bethany Beach has to
offer. There are many vacation destinations in the United States, especially along the
East Coast, so the goal of this project is to attract families to chose Bethany Beach and
the Sea Colony resort as their vacation spot. The key information I would like the
audience to gain from this proposal is the great location and amenities that Bethany
Beach and the Sea Colony resort has to offer.

Description of Topic
Sea Colony is the premier family beach and tennis resort community, located by
Bethany Beach, Delaware. The private resort, composed of 2200 condominiums,
spacious town-homes and private single-family homes, is within steps of the ocean.
Owners and guests have exclusive access to a half mile of private, guarded beach, 12
pools, 34 tennis courts, world-class tennis facilities and instructors, and the Freeman
Fitness Center with a 25-yard lap and recreational indoor pool as well as a variety of
programs for every age. This beautifully landscaped community, with around-the-clock
security, has biking and walking trails, playgrounds and picnic areas, trees and parks. 
Surrounded by wide open spaces on nearly all sides, there is a sense of peace and
tranquility. Within walking distance are quaint shops, conveniences and only minutes
away from tax-free outlet shopping in nearby Rehoboth Beach. Golfers can spend days
on the region's many championship golf courses. This campaign aids to promote these
features to families, couples, and groups looking for an affordable and fun vacation.

Needs Analysis and Description

I am creating this campaign because the Sea Colony is lacking in multimedia and
advertising for their resort. Many of the tourists who vacation at The Sea Colony resort
are from the Delaware and Maryland areas, which is why I would like to promote the
Sea Colony to tourists in the Pittsburgh area. The Sea Colony has a website, but the
multimedia needs include a video and also a brochure distributed in the Pittsburgh Area
to promote the resort to potential tourists.

Creative Strategy

The project is going to be a fun and light hearted campaign, using bright colors and
beach images to convey the relaxing and fun atmosphere of the resort. The campaign
will include photos of the resort, caribbean beach music, and candid photos of families
having a good time at the beach. The creative proposal will also include testimonies
from Sea Colony residents, shop owners, and long time vacationers.

Project Implementation

The project will be completed throughout the month of November with the final product
being presented on December 5, 2013. Throughout the first two weeks of November the
primary focus of the project will be gathering photographs, interviews, testimonials and
data to contribute to the website. The third week of November will be the formulation of
the website using the data and graphics collected. Upon the completion of the website I
will begin to work on the commercial during the week of November 16. The commercial
should be filmed by November 20th and edited by November 24. Over Thanksgiving
break, which is November 20-30, I will complete the brochures. The first week of
December will be the culmination of the creative campaign where I will combine all of
the pieces and prepare my presentation to my client.
