Effects of Cutting Classes on the Technical and Academic Performance of the

Junior and Senior High School Students in Villa Jacinta National Vocational
High School

I. RATIONALE
Vocational Education are known to be in this school Villa Jacinta
National Vocational High School that caters the entire Macrohon and its
neighbouring town from Padre Burgos to Malitbog.

Villa Jacinta National Vocational High School was formerly called Villa
Jacinta Common Barangay High School. It was published in 1975. During the
regime of late President Ferdinand Marcos the Bill was approved under Batas
Pambansa bilang 547, dated June 24, 1983. On the same year of July 1st, the
implementation of Villa Jacinta National Vocational with an initial budget of one
hundred twenty thousand pesos.

Villa Jacinta National Vocational High School continuous forge ahead to


blaze the trail for educational innovations and meet the nation challenges for
quality skills accessible to all to lay the foundation of lifelong learning. The huge
problem that the teachers experiencing right now are the rampant cutting
classes of both junior and senior students regardless of gender, leading to
poor technical and academic performance. Thus teachers provide variety of
strategies intended for students participation for them not to escape from their
classes. The real context motivates the researcher to find out the root cause of
the problem.
