1. a) Reaction with NaOH

- Added into different test tubes

3. Changing of Oxidation Number
3a) Changing of Fe2+ to Fe3+

Dirty Green Precipitate

3b) Changing of Cr2+ to Cr3+

1 mL of K2Cr2O7 solution

-Added into test tube


-Heated it
-Added 1-2 granule of Zn
-Added 1.5 ml HCl Concentrate
-Heated until there is a reaction

Turbid Blue solution

-Added 1 ml solution into another test tube


-Added HNO3 concentrate slightly while
shaken

Dark Green Solution

A. Fe2+ to Fe3+
Fe2+(aq) + HNO3(aq) + 3H+  Fe3+ + NO(g) + 2H2O(l)
Fe3+ + NaOH  Fe(OH)3(s)
B. Cr6+ to Cr3+
K2Cr2O7(aq) + 14HCl  2Cr3+ + 3Cl2 + 2K+ + Cl- + 7H2O(l)
