Upload Files and Create Project

“Locale” = Language in SDL speak

Do Not upload PDFs, convert to Word, then zip(optional) and upload.

Acceptable file types: .docx, .pptx, (experiencing some problems with regular .doc and .ppt, if
experiencing problems please convert to the X format)

Report Building / Historical Data Sets / Forecasting / Workflow:

I spoke with Abe from IMD, and he mentioned that TPDS has built reports similar to what we are looking
for, and then they export them to Access. After speaking with him further and describing what we are
trying to achieve, he believes we can build something in Excel or Access which will allow us to do a data
dump daily or 2x daily, and display all of the metrics we are looking for (he acknowledged that
something like this does not currently exist, but can help us to build it out based on our needs). In order
to facilitate a dashboard type view of individual IT progress daily, weekly, monthly, yearly. While
WorldServer has no historical data function, once we set up the data to be turned into reports
automatically on a daily basis, we will build our database which will help us make more accurate
forecasts, and allow us to use this data in MS Project to aid forecasting our client deliverables.

MS SharePoint:

Abe stated that the infrastructure for this is still being built. However, we did speak about it and he does
know we would like to get this up and running so we can share live documents in a more efficient
fashion than we currently do via e-mail and on our cumbersome shared drive.
