SUBJECT: Appointment of Temporary Qualified Masters/Mistresses 111

With reference to the above, it has been brought to the attention of the Ministry those
applicants who have acquired Grade 4 passes in subjects at the Caribbean Secondary
Education Certificate (CSEC) are still being offered appointments as T Q M 'I i 1. These
teachers are unable to gain acceptance at the C:;ril J:->ot tdr Co!ktf..JS d' Ed<.. c·,Hi.J ... , where
the requirements stipulate passes at Grade 3 and above from January 1998, a nd Grade
2 in the years prior to 1998. This is an untenable situation.

With immediate effect the Ministry of Education wishes to advise that applicants for the
post of Temporary Qualified Mistress/Master111 must possess CSEC passes at Grades
111 and above, before they can be considered for appointment.

Kindly bring the contents of this circular to the attention of your members of stafi,
parents and all those who are affiliated to the schools.

All members of staff must affix their signature and the date, as requested for every
circular.
