ABSTRACT

This research had the purpose of determining the relation between motivation and English

language learning, in which the following formulation problem was: How the

motivation is related in English language learning in high school third grade students

from 1283 Okinawa school, Ate - Vitarte, 2014? This work is substantive with a

descriptive method and the design is correlational. Our census was taken by 32

from our population. The information was taken by a questionnaire(15 items) and

a test(18 items), there was a previous examination for English teachers. The

reliability was determined by Cronbach’s Alfacoefficient which shows 777 to the first

variable (motivation) and 610 to the second variable (foreign language learning). Our

hypothesis concluded that, there is a meaningful relation between motivation and

English language learning in high school third grade students from 1283 Okinawa

school, Ate - Vitarte, 2014.
