Naenae Intermediate Open
Evening

Intermediate school hall. This is a
great opportunity for future families
interested in this school to hear
from the Principal and Student
Leaders who will be making
presentations informing you about
their school.

I hope you all enjoyed an extra day in the weekend.
It was great to have an extra day to spend with
family.
What a wonderful day we had on Friday “Celebrating our
Blessings”. It was a special time to celebrate the upgrade of the
Hobbit House and the newly painted palings for around the
“Children‘s garden”.
Our Whānau group worked hard orgnaising and cooking lots of
sausages for us to share. Thanks to NZHL for the kind use of their
BBQ on wheels. We have just heard from Bunnings that they are
supplying the timber, concrete and man power to put the framing up
for the student’s palings. This is a huge help and we look forward to
seeing the new fence.
With winter now upon us it is important your tamaiti/tamariki come
to school with a jumper and a coat. If it is not raining at lunch breaks
it is great to enable the children to have some time outside,
however sometimes it can be a little bit cold.
There are a few students who are wearing caps at school. Please
help us to keep these at home. Students can wear warm beanies
etc in the winter and a rimmed hat in the summer.
It has been a busy few weeks with many students representing the
school at different events. I went with our School Leaders to the
National Young Leaders Day in Porirua.
On Thursday I was able to take a group of students to the
inter-school cross country. Both of these activities were a great
opportunity for our students to interact with other schools . I was
very proud of these students as they were great ambassadors for
our school.

Today we made electricity
I made a speaker.
The speaker made a funny noise.

Kahikatea Rimu
Kahikatea experimented with a learning Rimu blew bubbles then did some
buddy to make a play dough circuit, awesome writing about the fun they had.
that made an LED light flash. Having lots
of fun with Science!

identify what flavour jelly bean they were eating.
