Step 3.2.1.1 put the tower near to the foundation, and place its bottom flange close to
the anchor bolts. Prop the tower top up with a shelf just like the picture showed below:

Step 3.2.1.2 Lead the cables through the tower to the top, and pull out through the larger
hole which has been drilled on the tower.

Cable

Cable

Tip: A steel wire can be used to help cables to go through the tower body.
Aeolos -V 5KW

Step 3.2.2: Install the cabinet

Place the cabinet between the two holes drilled on the tower and let it come in contact
with the tower. Fix the cabinet with two hoops which encase the tower. Then use the
4-M8×60 Bolts & Spring Washers & Plain Washers & Nuts to fasten the hoops and cabinet.

Pull the Cables through the threading hole at the bottom of the cabinet and pull into
the box. Then remove the upper block used to fix cable, and place the cable in the
semicircle orifice of the under cable fixed block; please note that a length of the
cables shall come out of the block so that it can insert the terminal blocks. Cover the
upper block, and fasten the bolts.
Aeolos -V 5KW

Step 2.2.3: Erect the tower

Lift the tower slowly until it is vertical to the ground. And then put it down to the
Foundation; screw up all the anchor bolts with nuts.

Warning: Do not lift the cabinet to make

the tower stand up, for it will damage the
parts in it.

Note: When installed the tower, the top

flange mating surface shall be tested
horizontal, if not the tower shall be slowly
adjusted.
Aeolos -V 5KW

Step 3.2.4: Assemble the wind wheel

Necessary tools or Material

item Name Quantity Comment
1 Adjustable Strap-wrench 2 Pcs For M8,M14 Bolts and Nuts
2 Allen wrench 1 set For M8 Bolts
3 Crane 1 set 12T, Lifting height>13m
4 Lifting belt 3 Pcs 8mm wire rope Lifting sling
5 worker 3 Experienced worker

Step 3.2.4.1: Find something(height: not be less than 2000mm) with a platform on the
top of it, and with a φ150mm hole at the center of it. This is used to place the generator
and wind wheel in the initial installation, as it shows in the picture below:

Step 3.2.4.2: Install the rotor shaft

Place the rotor shaft on the generator, rotate the rotor shaft to align the holes with the
holes in the flange that mounted on the under surface of the generator shell.
Aeolos -V 5KW

Connect them with fasteners. First of all screw the Socket head cap screws: M12x25, then screw
the hex screws: M12x40 with plain and spring washers. Tighten the fasteners with specified
pre-tightening torque.

Step 3.2.4.3: Install the Blade connection parts

Take one upper layer blade connection part to install on the rotor shaft. Connect them with
M12x120 bolt, washers and nut.

Note: Please keep the fasteners are not tightened, a little adjustment will be
taken when to install the blades or the sub-lever.
Aeolos -V 5KW

Install the Vertical sub-lever connection part on the rotor shaft. Connect them with
M12x120 bolt, washers and nut.

Take one middle layer blade connection part and install on the rotor shaft, connect them
with M12x100 bolt and washers.

Take one lower blade connection part and install on the generator, connect them with
M12x100 bolt and washers.
Aeolos -V 5KW

Install the rest blade connection part as the way of previous methods

Step 3.2.4.4: Install the vertical sub-lever connection part and vertical
connection sub-lever.
Take one vertical sub-lever connection part on the middle layer blade connection
part and connect them with M12x110 bolt, washers and nut.

Install the vertical sub-lever between two corresponding

connection parts, and connect them with M8x30 bolt,
washers and nut.
Aeolos -V 5KW

Install the rest connection parts and sub-levers as the way of the previous methods.

Step 3.2.4.5: Install the Horizontal sub-lever connection part and Horizontal connection
sub-lever.
Install the Horizontal sub-lever connection part according to the picture below:

The upper, middle and lower layer blade connection part will be all installed on this part.
Each blade connection part will be installed on two horizontal sub-lever connection parts.
Install the horizontal sub-lever between two connection parts and connect them with
M8x45 bolt, washers and nut.

Install the rest horizontal sub-lever according to the way of previous.

Step 3.2.4.6: Install the blade

Take one blade to mount its flange to blade connection parts and connect them
with M14x50 bolt, washers and nut.

Note: When mating the flange on the blade to the flange on the blade
connection parts, you can adjust the position of the connection part
slightly for the fasteners were not tightened. When installed all the
three blades you can tighten the all of the fasteners with specified
tightening torque.
Aeolos -V 5KW

Tighten all of the fasteners with specified tightening torque.

Warning: When installing the generator and blades something must be

used to hold the wind turbine to avoid it falling down and destroying the
equipment.

Important: The rotor rotates in clockwise from top view. When installing
the blades please according to the right way.

Important: The distance between blades shall be adjusted to equal or the

balance will not be good and cause rotor vibration.

Step 3.2.5: Mount the wind turbine on to the tower top

Necessary tools or Material

item Name Quantity Comment
1 Adjustable Strap-wrench 2 Pcs M16 Bolts and Nuts
2 Allen wrench 1 set For M8 Bolts
3 Crane 1 set 12T, Lifting height>13m
4 Lifting sling 3 Pcs 8mm wire rope Lifting sling
5 worker 3 Experienced worker should be better

Step 3.2.5.1: Lift the wind turbine

Place the 3pcs lifting sling at certain place of the wind turbine and lift the wind turbine.
Before lifting please make sure the lifting sling is firmly fixed.

Warning:The turbine is easy to loss balance when install the blades, so

please be careful to complete the installation or ask someone to hold the
turbine and keep the turbine balance.
Aeolos -V 5KW

Step3.2.5.2:Connect the wind turbine with the tower

Lift the wind turbine by the crane, and the other arm send a worker to the top of the tower
to connect the fasteners and connect the wires and oil tube by the other arm of the crane.
Connect the generator and the tower with 10-M16x70 fasteners, and then tighten them
with specified tightening torque.
Aeolos -V 5KW

Step 3.2.5.3 :Connect the oil tube

Connect one end of the oil tube with the pump station, and lead the other end of the oil
tube through the hole which drilled in one side of the switch box. Connect the other end
of the oil tube on the brake caliper, and screw up the joint nuts.

Step 3.2.5.4: Connect the wires

Lead the wires which come out of the generator
through the hole drilled previously on the tower
top. Then gather the generator wires and the
rotational speed sensor wires and brake pad
wear signal wires, and lead them through the
coiled pipe together to go into the cabinet.

It's better to seal the open end of the coiled pipe

to prevent the rain flow into the cabinet.
Aeolos -V 5KW

Step 3.2.5.5: Install the Anemometer

Its better find another pole near the wind turbine tower to install the anemometer.

Anemometer casing

Step 3.2.5.6: Fill the hydraulic oil into oil tank of the hydraulic pump
Open the door of the cabinet and screw down the plug on the oil tank of the hydraulic
pump. Fill the hydraulic oil into the tank through the oil filling port. It will be easy to fill
oil if you have one funnel. The oil volume shall be 0.5L, and the hydraulic oil model shall
be L-HV32 SHELL hydraulic oil.
