Submitted,
The agreement for providing 1 staff car was executed between this office and M/s Ranjit
Travels. However, vide annexure ‘A’ of letter F.no. 8/B/10(125)/HRD/EMC/2017 dtd. 04.12.2017 new
guidelines for deployment of vehicles in the formation under CBEC(w.e.f 01.12.2017) has been
issued and superseded the vehicle deployment policy circulated on 01.04.2017. vide para 5 of
annexure a of the captioned letter prescribed the cost of ceiling for deployment of vehicles in the
formation under CBEC(w.e.f 01.12.2017) it appears that agreement entered with M/s Ranjit Travels
need to be discontinued and process of hiring of vehicle through tender may be initiated. Also we
may write to M/s Ranjit Travels to provide the vehicle as per new guidelines till the finalization of
hiring of new vehicles.
Accordingly, letter addressed to M/s Ranjit Travels is prepared and put up for approval and

In this regard please refer to lettercfrom the office of DGoV, New Delhi F.No. V-
500/36/2015/Misc./Veh. dated 19/04/2017 addressed to DGHRD, New Delhi & copied to this office
wherein DGoV asked for the funds of Rs. 9,60,000/- for hiring 2 new vehicles. Till now DGHRD has
not released any fund towards this office.
Since the nature of work of this unit is very sensitive which includes carrying out surprise
checks & other preventive actions. Hence, vehicles are indispensible in order to carry out its
mendate and action plan.
So we may request AC(CHS), NCH, Mumbai-I to allow us to keep the vehicles for the time
being till DGHRD release the funds. Also we may request DGHRD separately for early release of
funds.
