Professional Experience
1. Since March’16: working as a Freelance Consultant with both corporate and NGO
sectors

2. Sept’15-Feb’16: worked with Save the Children International as Change Management


Consultant at Afghanistan
 Strategized and managed restructuring process of Save the Children Afghanistan to make it fit for the
purpose (better risk management, enhanced efficiency and effectiveness, demonstrating accountability
and transparency).
 SCI Afghanistan implements $24 million/annum program in 12 provinces of Afghanistan through 10
Provincial Offices and with 4000+ staff members.
3. Apr’08-Aug’15: worked with CSO partners as Founder CEO
 Founded CSO Partners, a single window engagement and capacity building platform for NGOs,
corporate, social entrepreneurs and expert organizations.
 Developed an accountable governance structure, high calibre multi disciplinary team, highly recognized
brand, diverse stakeholder network and viable revenue model for the organization.
 Provided advisory and program management support to reputed companies like ICICI group
companies (Bank, Lombard, Home Finance, Phone Banking, Prudential, Wealth Management,
Ventures), JUSCO (Tata subsidiary), Apollo Tyres, JSW (Energy and Steel), , Kaleesuwary Refineries

 Conducted online and offline capacity building programs to build capacity for more than 500 NGO and
300 CSR leaders. Designed and conduct a three month Certificate Course Training Program-Mastering
CSR for CSR leaders in collaboration with CII.
 Developed South Asian Regional Strategy of Tdh-Netherlands www.terredeshommes.n, facilitated
country program strategies for India, Afghanistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

 Directly impacted more than 300 national CSOs through online and offline capacity building programs
focused on efficiency, effectiveness, accountability, transparency and sustainability.
 Directly channelized more than USD 15 million through CSO-business partnerships.
 Ideated and launched pioneering online donation campaign through ICICI internet banking for Kosi
Flood in Bihar in 2008. The initiative mobilized approximately 65,000 internet banking customers and
ICICI staff members to contribute approximately $3 million in 7 days time. 19 NGOs implemented a
three year long rehabilitation and resettlement program in the flood affected areas.
 Managed multiple corporate grants with organizations like Save the Children, OXFAM, and Care-India
etc.
 Developed multi-level and progressive third party accreditation system for NGOs.

4. May’05 to Mar’08: With CCF- India (presently Child Fund International) as Program
Director
 Joined as Zonal Manager (North), promoted to Country Program Director within a year.
 Managed a multi-sector Child Protection program worth $15million/annum with 80 implementing NGO
partners in 16 states.
 Managed Tsunami rehabilitation and resettlement programs in the affected areas of South India.
 Managed both Program and Sponsorship departments.
 Led a team of Technical Advisors (Sector Specialists) and Sponsorship Managers.
 Performed acting National Director’s role occasionally.
 Recognized as the potential future leader by CCF. Was groomed through ‘Building Leadership
Program’, a continuous mentoring program based on 360º feedback over a year.
 Conceptualized and spearheaded program transition to area and partner-cluster base approach

5. Jan’02 to Apr’05: With Catholic Relief Services-USCC as Assistant Country


Representative-Program Quality, a US based INGO, managing approximately 30
million dollar program to impact 1.2 million marginalized people in 22 states of India
through 12 State Offices.

 Joined as Program Coordinator (Education), North Zone, was promoted to Assistant Country
representative (Program Quality) within a year.
 Devising program quality parameters, monitoring mechanism and technical support system for multi-
sector programs worth $30 million/annum, implemented through 11 State Offices and 2,500 partners
covering more than one million direct beneficiaries in 20 states.
 Managed a major organizational restructuring process to unify four Zonal Offices to strengthen the
National Office and to create 12 State Offices to create structures proximate to the partners and
targeted communities.
 Led large rehabilitation and resettlement program for Earthquake affected areas in Bhuj, India.

 Led post conflict emergency and peace building program following a large scale communal riot in
Gujarat, India.
 Played lead role in situation analysis, prompt fund and manpower mobilization, launching response
operation in the Tsunami hit areas of India and Sri Lanka. Successfully mobilized fund and materials
worth approximately $25 million for the Asian Region.
 Annual program budget allocation planning including material resource.
 Development of quality practice procedures and system to ensure optimum accountability.
 Donor relationship and program growth with USAID, USIP, OFDA, British High Commission, FHI and
other international agencies/donors.
 Leading the major project development exercises for program growth.
 To lead a team of sector specialists to extend appropriate technical supports to the State Offices and
partners.

6. Dec’95 to Apr’98: With Indo-Dutch Rural Water and Sanitation Program (Uttar
Pradesh) as Social Scientist:
 Developed pioneering model of Community Based O&M system of water and sanitation programs,
institutionalized with Panchayati Raj System (local self government).
 Developed and managed progress and quality monitoring system with the State Government.
 Developed creative Behaviour Change Communication and Community Participation strategies based
on traditional and folk creative/visual media and demonstrated impact at scale.

7. Oct’94 to Nov’95: With Sarba Shanthi Ayog as Community Development Executive


 Worked with more than 100 craft groups to develop their entrepreneurial skills to manage viable
business.
 Developed Social and environmental standards for craft entrepreneurs.
 Developed a child centric development program with Kandh tribe of Orissa.
 Developed a youth leadership program using performing and visual forms of folk art.
