Presidents Report
It is hard to know where the time has gone. It feels like only last week that I was voted in so unani-
mously (LOL) as the President of the Nanaimo Brit Club.
As this Monday is going to be the last meeting before the Summer break, we still have a number of
issues to deal with but I will not bore you, as of yet, I will leave that for the meeting.
However, we still need flag bearers for Canada Day celebrations at Maffeo Sutton Park, so if you
could make it for about 3 hours on the 1st of July you would receive my undying gratitude. Also the
Christmas show, participants to demonstrate your talents to the citizens of Nanaimo. Anyway please
give both a thought.
I am looking forward to seeing you at the meeting and other activities during the summer.

something that we can guess at.

Luncheon Report
Twenty five hungry souls met for lunch at the Jingle Pot Pub on the 28th of May.
Too bad we were split into two groups but everyone seemed to enjoy their meal.
It was nice to see more than cod for the fish and chips. Next month we go to one
of our favourites THE HONG KONG HOUSE. Same time on June 25th.

Silent Auction
The silent auction raised $269.80 for the Club, many thanks for all who participated make this the most
successful auction to date.

2018 Bowen Park Tea and Show

We know that this is still early in the year to be thinking about December and the Christmas Show at
Bowen Park, but we have made a start with performance ideas and the pre-planning.
Last years show was very well received and many compliments given to us, so we have a quality and a
reputation to maintain.
We have volunteers signed up for various parts of the production, but we still need Club members who
have skills in any of the theatre arts and who would be willing, and able to provide help to us. Please
remember that the net proceeds from the Show are a large part of your Clubs income for the year.
