Year 11 English ‘Boys of Blood and Bone’

S/N Task 1: Research and Presentation Task


TASK 1

- Collect THREE (3) personal primary sources (first-hand accounts) related to the category.
o You should be collecting reflections, memoires, letters, and diary entries from
Australian Soldiers.
- Use the three sources collected to construct a reflective discussion that considers:
o What do the primary sources reveal about the war experience?
o How do the people discuss their experiences? With what emotion, feeling or tone?
o What do the people choose to focus on in their reflections/writing?
o Do you see any connections with the sources you have collected and the character
of Andy?
 Your discussion can be dot points, written in your workbook. (You should be
aiming for ¾ of a page – 1 page).
- You will be required to share what you have found with the rest of the class on Monday 2nd
May.
