Chief Operating Officer (COO)

become one of the prime direct importers and wholesale distributors
of quality organic superfood ingredients and we are determined to

Delsur Trading is looking for an experienced COO to serve, as the


CEO’s right-hand and to organize and oversee the daily operations of
the company.
The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires
thorough knowledge of various company processes. The company’s
massive growth over the last few y
ears has led to a number of organizational challenges that need to be
solved in order to move to the next level of growth.
The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan and lead
many different kinds of activities. He/She must be an excellent leader
willing to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, often high-pressure
environment.
The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s
operations to support the company’s future growth and long-term
success.

Responsibilities

Operations
• Oversee and plan daily operations of the company and the work
of managers (Production, Ecommerce, Admin, Distribution,
among others) to ensure smooth progress
• Routinely analyze existing processes and procedures within
each department and define solutions to maximize productivity
and reduce costs
• Serve as CEO’s right-hand working closely with him on various
business matters and special projects
• Develop and implement systems for reporting and measurement
• Define KPIs for each department and establish
systems/processes for measuring them.
• Manage relationships/agreements with external
partners/vendors as well as lenders
• Oversee inventory status and performance. Collaborate with
warehouse and sales managers to conduct inventory
forecasting

Planning
• In conjunction with CEO, design and implement business
strategies, plans and procedures.
• Liaise with CEO to make decisions for operational and
commercial activities and set strategic goals

Financial
• Establish systems and process to improve accuracy and
timeliness of accounting system
• Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to
promote profitability
• Assist in the process of preparation of monthly, quarterly and
annual financial statements

Human Resources

• Manage company’s human resource needs including facilitating


recruitment/hiring process, handling new employee on
boarding.

Leadership

• Set operational and/or performance goals for each department


which are aggressive, achievable, and tied to long-term goals.
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and
dedication, while fostering our family-oriented, success-oriented
culture
• Periodically conduct formal performance evaluations of
company employees
• Performs other related activities as needed to support corporate
objectives

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of previous experience working in a similar capacity


• Thorough knowledge of finance and sales
• Proven track record of strong leadership and exceeding goals
with bottom-line orientation

Compensation: Base salary plus commission (commensurate with


experience)
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: CEO
