“The universe is not made of atoms. It’s made of TINY STORIES.

REFLECTION FROM PRESENTATIONS

1. What are the “stories” (insights and interesting perspectives) that

emerged as you listened to other projects?

The stories that emerged are that food really does have a deep
connection within people. After hearing other people's stories about their
relationship to food it opened my eyes that other people have similar
experiences to me. That food really does affect us on a personal level and
that it shapes us into what we are today. I learned that people have made
new relationships through food and that makes me respect the importance
of food more.

2. What did you “gain” from completing this “food exploration” project?

I gained a new found for food and what it means to different people around
the world. That food speaks to people on a personal level and they take it
very seriously. I should start to really take in what food means to me and
my family, because I never really noticed how food plays such an important
role in my families history and I would like to learn more about how food
has developed my family.

3. At this point, what is your understanding of the connection between

food, culture, identity and/or politics?
The understanding about food, culture, and politics that i have have
developed is that food is a really important part of our society and that
people have a certain connection to it and what it means to our society.
That food and its experience have a bigger meaning to us and our
memories that it develops us into the person that we are today.
