1. The Paper will consist of objective type questions only.


2. The Paper will be bilingual (Hindi as well as English)
3. Paper is to be written by the candidate in his own handwriting.
4. Its discretion of UPSC to fix qualifying marks.
5. Use of calculator or Mathematical or logarithmic table is not permitted to answer.
6. Negative Marking
In the objective type question, four options will be given to each question. Carefully attempt the question as 0.33 marks
will be deducted for each wrong answer.

In case a candidate has given more than one answer for any question, that will be treated as the wrong answer.You can
leave questions unattended as there is no negative marking for the same.

Interesting Facts about NDA

National Defence Academy also abbreviated as NDA is established in 7 December 1954 and
situated in Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra. National Defence Academy Examination is
held twice a year for the candidates who want to take admission in the NDA.

NDA provides pre-commissioning training to the candidates who have desire to join Army, Air
force or Navy.

Preparation Tips for NDA Exams:

 First of all, cleared basics like formulas, methods, calculations from beginning including 10th
to 12th class books in your preparation is a better idea.
 Clarify the topics and concepts from NDA Books.
 Try to solve the question paper according to the time as management in time is important
element in planning for preparation.
 Improve your Reading, writing and listening skills in English.
 Start with your weak topics first try to strengthen them.
 Maths questions will be asked in both forms – to complete the statement or to solve so
prepare accordingly.
