    Just because i'm blind


    Doesn't mean i don’t have a voice
    Or that I can’t make a decision for myself
    That I Can't posses the conch
    That I can be heard

    Just because i'm fat


    Doesn't mean I’m not strong
    Or incapable
    Or hear the sound of the whistling trees as i run through the damp sand
    Or unable to survive the long days and cold nights

    Just because I’m dead


    Doesn't mean i didn't live
    Or savor the last moments of my sanity
    Or battle not only the external issues daily but also those demons in my head
    Or love all the boys on that island as if they were my brothers
