People soft Test Analyst

Job Description
Activities: What does the jobholder have to do?

• Carrying out the test planning and testing along with project stakeholders.

• Prepare & review key testing documents

• Defect management and testing progress reporting

• Mentor team and ensure that the technical deliverables are of high quality.

• Manage testing issues and escalate as required.

• Manage time effectively to meet defined timelines and keep Team Lead/Project manager
updated.

• Share the technical knowledge across the team

Key deliverables: What are the key outcomes and what does the jobholder have to produce
(objectives)?

• Test Plan, Test Scripts and Test Completion reports

Scope of Role: What decision is the job/ role responsible for?

• Analysing, design of test scenarios, test cases review, task estimation, test cases
development, meeting timelines, testing mentoring test engineers, taking part in recruitment
activities and collaborating with development teams.

People Management: What are the key responsibilities of the job/ role?

Person Specification

Essential Experience: What previous experience is required to do this job/role?

Essential:

• 4-5 years of experience in Software Testing role

• Proven ability to design test scenarios

• Well versed with Testing concepts and Methodologies.

• Experience in Test Planning, preparing and Executing Test cases and Test scripts.

• Minimum exposure of 3 year in the domain of Peoplesoft HCM,CRM,ePerformance,Absence


management, Time and Labor modules and Integration of Peoplesoft and Web Portal
technologies

• Solid functional understanding and hands on business analysis experience on Peoplesoft


HRMS/CRM/ePerformance/Absence and management/Time and Labor table structure.

• Must have good understanding on PeopleSoft architecture and Security Administration

• In-depth thorough knowledge of PIA and Integration tools like WSRP, Integration
Broker,XML Publisher etc

• Analyzes and documents Human Resource, CRM, ePerformance, Time and Labour, Absence
management business functions.

• Ability to effectively present information, verbally and written, and respond to questions
from individuals and groups of managers and personal in order to consult and provide
technical assistance.

• Ability to work under minimal supervision and guidance, while maintaining a positive attitude
and team player mentality

• Experience of Bug Tracking Tool using Quality Centre, Test Director.

• Preparation and mining of test data to meet test requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must demonstrate a flexible approach towards work, and ability to move across roles

• Should be a good team player Desirable:

• Experience of delivering projects in HR

• Experience working on an enterprise wide project is preferred

• Experience in Portal projects

Qualifications: What training or qualifications are required to do the job/role?

Essential:

• BE / B.Tech / MCA from good college / university Desirable:

• Testing Technology Certification

• Peoplesoft domain certification


Technical Competence: What are the specific skills/ style and abilities required of the job/
role?

Essential:

• Experience on integration methodology between Peoplesoft and Web Portal technologies

• Good Knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM/CRM/ePerformance/Time and Labour/Absence


management Database model.

• Ability to understand Functional Requirements and Design Documents.

• Experience of automation testing tool QTP, Load Runner is preferable Desirable:

• Excellent understanding of TDLC
