Brief Synopsis: A total of 4,659 high-quality sequence reads were annotated with taxonomic information.
The majority of annotations that met quality standards are for species known to be contained within the
genome of bread wheat: Triticum aestivum and Aegilops tauschii . The only other annotations
are for the sh species Ophiodon elongatus (lingcod).1,2 Annotations with <1% of total annotated
sequences and/or not at least to the genus-level were excluded from results table. 3
Annotation - The process of appending information from a reference sequence, such as source organsim, to
a query sequence of sucient similarity to the reference.
% ID - The percent similarity of the sample read when compared to a reference read.
% Total - The percent of total high-quality reads which were annotated with a specic taxon.

Sample matrix and homogeneity can inuence recovery of DNA and impact identications.
2
Other inclusions in
sample may be present due to external contamination or true adulteration.
