Background information loch Lomond

Loch Lomond is the largest fresh water lake in the British

Isles.
There are 38 islands on the loch.
People have been living on the islands on the loch for 7000
year.

The ponds in the park are manmade, and were built here to
allow you to see up close an exciting range of bugs and beasts
in their habitat.

Loch Lomond is connected with a number of important

characters from Scottish history.

During the last ice age the depression in which loch Lomond
sits were carved out by glaciers.

Loch Lomond is one of the worlds most easily accessible

Abiotic and biotic:

Abiotic
We walked through a lot of nature but we also walked over a
lot of asphalted roads and some holiday resort which were
very very big. During our walk we accidentally walked over a
gloving field. This wasn`t the safest thing but it was the only
way. We actually should have know this because we jumped
over a little river to get there. There were a lot of big rocks
where Elena jumped on… We were walking very long and we
actually didn’t know where we were, and by accident we
found the road we already walked.

Biotic
There were a lot big tree’s all around you, which were very
old. We also saw very beautiful flowers which were very
colorful and you could smell the flowers everywhere. We
saw a lot of insects which probably were their because of all
the flowers and water in the environment. There were also
some animals like ducks and birds, there also were some
larger animals like deer but they didn’t show when we were
in the park.
