Development and characterisation of banana fibre, marble

dust slurry and PVC filled composite for making electric

board and fibre sheet

Problem detail:-
(1) the major adverse effect of surface mining are the
disruption of the geology, soil plant and disequilibrium in the
geometric system and depletion of soil organic pool. In
Makrana (Rajasthan) the main cause of environmental
pollution is Marble mining, dust particles and another factor
of raising stone pollution is stone crusher dust. The
agriculture field near these marble mines and stone crusher
areas shows poor growth and yield of crop and vegetables.
(2) banana is an organic food , though it is biodegradable but
upon long time in our surround start producing fouling odour
and pollute the environment.
Material and method:
Material :- banana peel, marble dust slurry, PVC (poly vinyle
chloride) and resin
Banana fibre: the natural fibre present important advantages
such as low density, appropriate stiffness,mechanical
properties with high disposability and renewability.
Banana fibre , a lingo cellulosic fibre, obtained from the
pseudo-stem of banana plant (musa sepientum), is better
fibre with relatively good mechanical property. And in
tropical country like india, fibrous plants are available in
aboundance and some of them like banana are agriculture
crops.
The composite material of banana fibre ,abaca and
polypropylene have high tensile strength and rot resistant.
This composite can withstand stone strikes and exposure to
the environment such as ultraviolet from sun ,water and
some chemical.

Method:
First take the metal sheet

Now pour some (mix of melted PVC + resin + marble slurry )

on it and spread it with the help of brush.

Now place sheet of banana fibre over it and pour resine over
it and again spread it.
Now again place banana fibre sheet over it and pour resin to
spread over it.

We will continue this process till we don’t get our required

thickness.

Now leave this composite for 24 hour and let it cool.

After this it is ready for performing testing on it.
Application:
(1) For using it as window sheet in place of glass.
(2) For making electric board
(3) For making sleeper of good quality
(4) For making plastic equipment like mug and tube etc.
