2-CONTEXT

CONTEXT OF THE SCHOOL

Within context, we have to take into account the area where the Primary School

is located, the School itself and our students.

Our state Primary School is set in a rural of about 4.000 inhabitants in the south

of Extremadura. People there gains their lives from activities related, mainly, to

agriculture and small industries. Its socioeconomic level is middle – high.

The school is a public Infant and Primary Education one, made up of nine

units, three of them belong to infant education and the others ones to Primary

Education. The teacher staff is made up of Infant and Primary Education

teachers and there are also other specific teachers such as English teachers,

Physical education teacher, Music teacher, a religion teacher, a Psycho

therapist and adviser team.

The school is equipped with all needed materials for the teaching of primary , a

gym, laboratories, a video room, a library and a computer classroom linked to

the internet which uses free software programme Linex. In this school each

classroom contains a digital board. Moreover, it has taken into account

architectural facilities for students with physical ( temporal or permanent)

impediments. Some programmes developed in the centre and with great

influence in our own Planning is the Portfolio.

As for our students, there are approximately twenty in this group. They are in

the fifth level of primary. In this group of students ,THERE ARE two immigrants,

a Rumanian boy and a Moroccan girl both are very integrated with their

classmates. Almost all of students have a normal development of personality,

no serious problems in the teaching learning process, and not special needs.
However there are some pupils who have a lower level than the rest of the class

as well as some of them a high level.
