Finance for Non-Finance Training program

Introduction of the Program

One of the main goals of any organization which exists for profit is to optimize their bottom-line
while maximizing shareholders wealth. Hence, financial knowledge is imperative for decision
making. However, most managers with a non-finance background are not equipped to pay attention
to the importance of financial implication of a decision. For example, providing transportation to the
employees may involve huge cost if the company expands operations and removing transportation
facilities may lead to dissatisfaction. A basic knowledge of finance can really help enhance the
effectiveness of such decisions. We have conducted numerous training programs at companies such
as GVK EMRI and Shiv Shakti Group.

Abhishek Sinha has 13 years of experience in corporate and academics. He is a fundamental stock
market analyst by training and professional experience and teacher by choice. Abhishek is presently
pursuing his Ph.D from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun in infrastructural
financing and is gainfully employed as Asst. Prof. at VJIM, Hyderabad from July 2012. He has spent
more than 7 years in Equity Research and Financial Consultancy having worked with companies such
as B & K Securities, SSPL Wealth and Evalueserve.

His expertise lies in financial statement analysis, business valuation and financial modelling.
Abhishek has spent his formative years in academics, working as Academic Associate to leading
faculties at Indian School of Business with Professors such as Mary Lea McAnally, Director of
Innovation and Strategic Planning at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University. He was also
awarded the best academic associate by the batch of 2012 for his engaging tutorial at ISB. Abhishek
has developed intuitive methods of teaching accounts and finance to help beginners pick up the
subject with ease. He uses Story-telling and Socratic Method to teach finance to non-finance
