Job Description/Terms of Reference

Business Area: Siemens PLM Software, Asia Pacific

Reports To: VP Channel Development & Products, Asia Pacific

General Description:

This leadership role is needed to direct the DM COE activities in Asia Pacific in all aspects of
sales, marketing, support and general business activities. The Director of the DM COE is
responsible for the overall growth and profitability of the DM portfolio products (TCNO & NX
CAM) throughout Asia Pacific in both direct and indirect sales channels, with an emphasis on
building and enabling a strong indirect channel for DM Solutions in the zone. This recognizes the
strong potential for DM solutions in Asia Pacific.

Job Description:

• Works with VP Channel Development & Products and the regional/country organizations
to determine specific vision and strategic objectives for the DM business based on the
overall AP goals and objectives.
• Drive the execution of those agreed strategies, using resources from across and outside
the zone in order to grow DM revenues in Asia Pacific.
• Conduct ‘Quarterly Business Review’ sessions with each region to provide analysis of the
DM business and guidance and direction on ways to grow it.
• Carry out channel assessment with the countries and formulate strategic framework to
build, systematically develop and support a stronger DM channel business, leveraging
the Siemens PLM global Channel Program.
• Identify major DM accounts to be systematically developed and monitored with direct
sales teams in countries and ensure effective leverage of channel solution providers in
these accounts. Achieve revenue and profitability for DM business as outlined in the
objectives set.
• Conduct partner enablement and partner recruitment activities for the DM portfolio under
the direction of the Siemens Partner Enablement & Recruitment’ (SPEAR) Program
Office.

Job Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience in DM solutions of software industry at enterprise sales level


and in working with Channels, including at regional level.
• Interpersonal skills to build cooperative relationships with other functions and maintain an
environment of a positive attitude among channel business partners.
• Business skills which include financial analysis, industry knowledge, market knowledge.
• Cultural and business understanding of primary AP countries.
• Confidence, independence, proven problem solving skills, communication skills and the
ability to understand relationships at a regional level, with both countries and corporate.
• Able to meet deadlines while possessing strong organization and planning skills.
• Fluent English coupled with ability to communicate and work effectively in a multinational
environment will be essential. Chinese skills an advantage.
