Application
_______________________________________________________________________________
Important notes Mix Chemdur 30 at low speed (max. 500rpm) so that as little air
as possible is being entrained. Work the adhesive well into the
concrete surface.
-- Medium adhesive tensile strength of the prepared concrete
substrate should be 1.5 N/mm2.
-- Max. substrate moisture content 4 %
-- Min. application temp. + 10°C.
-- Ambient and substrate temperature during application
must be min. 5°C.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Substrate Concrete:
Clean surface, free from grease and oil, dry, no loose particles or
laitance. Concrete age, depending on climate, 3 to 4 weeks
minimum.
Surface Preparation:
Grinding, chipping or sand-blasting. Remove all dust & loose
particles by an air blower. The surface to be coated must be
level. Tolerance for 2 m length, max.10 mm.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Application Apply the well-mixed Chemdur 30 adhesive carefully to the
properly prepared substrate with a spatula to form a very thin
layer. Place CFRP Strip on a table and clean it with Colma
Cleaner. Apply Chemdur 30 adhesive with a spatula onto the
CFRP Strip.
Within the open time of the adhesive, depending on temperature,
place strip onto the concrete surface. Using a rubber roller, press
the strip into the epoxy adhesive until the material is forced out
on both sides of the laminate. Remove surplus epoxy adhesive.
