Application
_______________________________________________________________________________
Surface Preparation Surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, dry and free from
dust, oil, grease, curing compounds, and other loose debris.
Recommended methods for preparing concrete are by
sandblasting, high pressure water jetting, acid etching, grinding,
wire brushing, or by pneumatic tools. Iron and steel must be free
of rust, mill scale, oil, grease, and other impurities. Steel
substrate should be cleaned preferably by grit blasting or rotary
wire brush.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Priming Priming is not necessary on properly prepared concrete substrate
& other surfaces.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Mixing Chemgard ET is supplied in pre-weighed kits consisting of part
A and part B. The entire contents of part A & B should be mixed
preferably with a power mixing tool. If part mixing or
volumetric mixing is envisaged, maintain original ratios of
components A & B.

Coating Thickness Steel surface
One coat minimum applied at the rate of 3 square meters per kg
at 250 microns dry film thickness
Concrete surface
One coat minimum applied at the rate of 3 to 4 square meters per
kg (250 - 350 microns dry film thickness)
(NOTE: When a much thicker coat is required, re-coat interval
should be between 10-24 hours)
