Chemrite P.P. Fibre

Polypropylene Fibre for Cementitious Mortars and Concrete
_______________________________________________________________________________
Product Description Chemrite P.P. Fibre is a high quality 100% polypropylene fibre
that reduces the occurrence of plastic and drying cracking whilst
enhancing the surface properties and durability of mortars &
concrete.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Uses To act as secondary reinforcement in order to prevent micro-
cracking due to plastic and drying shrinkage in cementitious
systems like
-- Mortars for rendering
-- Cementitious overlays
-- Patch repairs on pre-cast slabs
-- Industrial floor slabs
-- Water retaining structures
-- Large exposed surfaces like pavements, runways &
taxiways, canal linings, retaining walls, bridge decks,
concrete dams etc.

Advantages The main advantages are:
-- Reduced shrinkage cracks
-- Reduced water permeability
-- Increased abrasion properties
-- Reduces future repair costs by eliminating cracks
-- Better resistance against thermal movement

Application Details
______________________________________________________________________________
Dosage Chemrite P.P. Fibre is ready to use. Dosage is 0.6 to 0.9 Kg/m3
(average 100 gm per 50 Kg cement) of the mortar or concrete
depending on the mix ratio.
______________________________________________________________________________
Dispensing Chemrite P.P. Fibre should be ideally added at the batching
plant; although in some cases this may not be possible, then site
addition can be done. If mixing is at the batching plant, the fibre
should be added first along with some mixing water (30%). After
all the other ingredients have been added, including the
remaining mixing water, the concrete or mortar should be mixed
for a further few minutes at full speed to ensure uniform fibre
dispersion.

Curing Standard curing practice must be followed.
______________________________________________________________________________
Cleaning Clean all equipment and tools with water immediately after use.
