Continuous addition and subtraction on numbers, place value, mixed operations,
approximation, positive and negative numbers
2. Multiplication and division with whole numbers
Multiplication and division by 10, 100, 1000…, mixed operations, multiplication and
division on whole numbers with and without brackets
3. Collecting and displaying data
Making lists, frequency tables, observation sheets, use of different kinds of graphs
4. Number and patterns
Factors and multiples, prime and composite numbers, common factors and multiples,
square numbers, triangular numbers and other patterns
5. Sets
Set notation, finite and infinite sets, universal sets, Venn diagrams, operations with sets
6. Parts of a whole
The meaning of fractions, mixed and equivalent fractions. Simplify fractions. The
meaning of decimals. Changing between fractions, decimals and percentages. Fractions
of quantities. Compare fractions and decimals.
