Peulich Media Release - Labor Fails To Honour Frontline Services in Casey
Peulich Media Release - Labor Fails To Honour Frontline Services in Casey
In State Parliament, Ms Peulich echoed concerns of more than 40,000 members of the Casey Crime Page
on Facebook questioning whether Premier Daniel Andrews will honour his election promise to make Narre
Warren Police Station a 24-hour station.
Instead, three years later he has cut the hours, as he has at Endeavour Hills Police Station, placing
enormous pressure on surrounding police stations, as well as Narre Warren Police Station itself.
The revelation comes as the latest statistics from the Crime Statistics Agency of Victoria reveal that crime in
Casey has risen by 13.5% since the election of the Andrews Labor Government.
An additional police station in Clyde North, more police officers, stronger laws and extended opening hours
of Casey police stations would make our community safer. More police proactively patrolling our suburbs
means residents will be safer.
The next State Election offers a clear choice: local Labor MPs and candidates none of whom are local
delivering cuts, crime and chaos, or a Guy-led Coalition Government to restore frontline services and
community safety.
Comments attributable to Member for South Eastern Metropolitan Region, Inga Peulich MLC:
“Labor’s broken promises, failed law and order policies and Labor MPs and candidates who don’t live locally
are hurting our community and seriously impacting frontline police services in Casey.”
“Only the Liberal Nationals will provide much needed police resources and a tough on crime policy to make
Casey and Victoria safe again.”
